<div itemprop="description">Joseph Kuchar <br>October 8, 1929 – July 4, 2016 <br> <br>In the loving presence of family, Joseph Kuchar passed away at home on July 4, 2016. <br>His gentle soul will be cherished in memory by his wife of 48 years Beverley; daughter Leanne; son Gary; grandson Troy; niece Dianne; nephew Dick; sister-in-law Mary; son-in-law Craig; daughter-in-law Erin; and by cousins and friends.He was predeceased by his father John, mother Christine, and brother William. <br> <br>Born in Winnipeg on October 8, 1929, Joe graduated from Faraday and Isaac Newton schools. <br>He served the war effort at 14 years of age by working in a box factory during his summer holidays. Not long thereafter he developed a keen interest in electronics, teaching himself how to service and build radios and televisions. He retired in 1987 as Radio Supervisor for the Western Region at CNR Telecommunications. <br> <br>Joe loved the outdoors and was happiest while taking morning walks at his hobby farm near Teulon Manitoba and gardening. His tomatoes made him something of a local legend. A passionate lover of songbirds, he took great pleasure in the melodies of forest and prairie. Upon retirement, he built a cottage near Gimli Manitoba which his family and friends enjoyed for many years. Always a loving and supportive father and husband, Joe spent the last years of his life treasuring the presence of his grandson Troy. <br> <br>Memorial service followed by interment will be held Friday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m., at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB.
