It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Brenda Joy Harboway at the age of 68. Mom passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Grace Hospital on Monday, March 27, 2017 surrounded by love.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years Michael, daughter Tina (Dean), granddaughter Emma, son Corey, granddaughter Christina and grandson Hunter. She will be greatly missed by her brother Andy, sister Susan (Joe) and numerous other family members and friends. Mom was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Minnie Trybell.

Mom struggled with her health most of her life. Despite her struggles she was always a strong, determined woman who would never complain. She took every obstacle as it came with grace. Mom found joy in bowling, bingo, crochet, doing puzzles and playing scrabble and crib. She loved to make perogies and considered herself an “expert”. Mom and Dad were lucky enough to enjoy a few nice vacations before their health declined. Mom was a devoted mother who was so proud of her children and grandchildren. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for someone. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.

A special thank you to Rowena, Wuby, Criselda, Mary-Lou, Elena and all the wonderful staff at Parkview who took such good care of mom. We can never thank you enough. We know you all loved her as much as us. Please continue to take good care of Dad.

A special thank you as well to the staff at Grace Hospital who showed us such compassion in mom’s final days. It will never be forgotten.

As per mom’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place Monday, April 3, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in mom’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
