<div itemprop="description">It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rhannel ‘Toto’ Raquin on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 39.<br><br>Rhannel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Chander, children Cyril, Cyla, and Rylin, parents Lorieta and Sonny Raquin Sr., siblings, Lhorievee (Domy) Manaois, Sonny Jr. (Mheybelle), Edwin (Michelle), and Rustie, parents-in-law, Ed and Guy Cabuhat, brother-in-law Gilpher (Nicole), grandmother, Emiliana, aunts and uncles, Larina (Frank) Pamintuan, Rose and Ding Raquin, Ronie (Gemma), Nieva (Nonoy), Melba, Vicente, Ging (Joey) Sambilay, cousins Mary Ann Bergman, Roel (Kim), Elfren-Ray, Roshelle, Shanna Mae, Claudine, Mark, Crystel, Reymundo, Neiro, J.R., Emerald, Betuel, Janina and Rani, nieces and nephews, Cameron, Micaella, Demi, Gabi, Allee, Kayla, Tyrel, and Alexandria, as well as family in the Philippines.<br><br>Rhannel was predeceased by grandparents, Rosita, Alfredo, and Amado, as well as uncle Boy Barnal.<br><br>Rhannel was born in Tondo, Manila, Philippines on September 20, 1977. He moved to Winnipeg, MB in August 1990 at the age of 12 with his family to reunite with his aunties and uncles. <br><br>Rhannel was a dedicated family man and was always the life of the party. He loved to entertain with his humorous jokes, impersonations, magic tricks, and enjoyed singing and dancing. He was a man of many talents; he was very artistic, inventive, creative, smart, and very handy, as he was the right hand man for his uncle, Ding, who is a handyman. He also took pride in his career as a plumber since graduating with Honours and receiving his diploma at Red River College in June 2015.<br><br>Rhannel’s hobbies included snowboarding, fishing, camping, and was very passionate about boating. He was also very involved with the Filipino community. He was a parade drummer in the Annual Filipino Street Festival representing Aklan, and was President of the Aklan Association of Manitoba for over 2 and a half years. <br><br>Rhannel was a warrior who took great pride in his family. He was a hardworking man who provided for his family and brought each member close with his memorable stories, thoughtful advice, contagious laugh and his amazing dishes. He was adored by his wife and children. He was the foundation for the Raquin name. We love you so much Rhannel ‘Toto’. You will be forever missed. <br> <br>The family would like to express their sincerest thanks to numerous friends and relatives and everyone else who took the time to show their love and support during this very difficult time. The family would also like to extend their thanks to the ICU staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital.<br><br>Thank you, Rhannel ‘Toto’ for the memories that we’ll cherish forever.
