<div itemprop="description">Praxedes Mendoza <br>August 5, 1937 – November 9, 2016 <br> <br>Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend Praxedes Mendoza aged 79 years, passed away November 9, 2016 with her family by her side. <br>Left in her passing are her cousin, Cristita Dionela; sons Onie (Norisa) and Edgar (Merlita); Grandchildren Krisnna, Kristel, Kaylem, Tristan, Taylor and Kayden; sister in law Leticia; close nieces Purita, Estrellita, Elvira (Les), Emely (Emil) and Araceli; and the Falculan family in the Philippines. Praxedes was born in Manila, Philippines and had 2 brothers and 7 sisters. <br> <br>She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas and moved to London, England before immigrating to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1974. She worked at Tuxedo Vila Personal Care Home for numerous years before running her own companion care home on Leila Ave. <br> <br>Praxedes was a very kind and generous person. She enjoyed cooking and often travelled across North America with her family and friends. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandchildren. You will be missed dearly mama. <br> <br>Lamay will commence at 6:00pm on Friday, November 18th at Glen Eden Funeral Chapel, 4477 Main St, West Saint Paul, MB. Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, November 19th at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. <br></div>
