Ivy Thompson <br>October 18, 1922 ~ August 20, 2016 <br> <br>With family by her side, Ivy peacefully passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief 40 day illness. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1994; parents Anton and Mary Wolchuk; brothers Mike and Walter; sisters Anne and Frances; and niece Diane. <br> <br>Ivy will be remembered by her nieces Heather (Jim), June (Marv), Lorna (Kerry), Grace; and their families. <br> <br>Ivy was her own person and lived her life as she saw fit. Blessed with good health her entire life, she loved to travel, listen to music, and enjoyed attending concerts. Her flower gardens and yard were her passion, and she was fortunate to have lived in her home until her short hospitalization. <br> <br>Heartfelt thanks go to the doctors, especially Dr. Chavali and staff on 5 Unit 1, Seven Oaks Hospital. Her Home Care providers Beata, Oliver, Henry, and Susan. Her We Care companion Elizabeth, and very special friend Heather L. Their care and kindness made Ivy’s life easier. <br> <br>Funeral service will take place Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice: or buy your favorite flower, cherish its beauty and fragility, as life itself, and think of Ivy. <br> <br>Life is precious <br>Rejoice in each new day <br></div>
