MADISON CLAVEN-ENNS
Peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with Aplastic Anemia, Madison was given her wings on July 10, 2015 at
HSC Children’s Hospital at the age of 17.

She was predeceased by her Great Grandma Slater, her cousin Connor, her Aunty Sherri, her Great Granny and Great Grampa Mark and her Papa Claven.

Left to lovingly remember Madison are her mom Stacy and dad Cameron and her daddy Johnny and brother Cédric (´Elise and Océan). She will be sadly missed by her Nanny Claven, Nanny and Papa Enns and Grandma and Grandpa Kent and Great Granny and Grandpa Beaudin. She is remembered by a large, loving family including her Uncle Dean and cousin Liam, her Aunty Sharrol and Uncle Bruce and cousin Blake (Michelle), her Uncle Bob and cousins Matt and Tasha, her Aunty Melanie and Uncle Johnny and cousins Mariah and Brayden. Madison is loved and missed by many friends, especially Rylee, Cole and Eric and her best buddy Baily.

In her short life, Madison had a strong impact on friends and family. She was known as a firecracker, who could talk anyone into anything, especially her parents and medical team who she honed this skill on in the past couple years when it came to tea, Sorry and impromptu prime rib dinners! Madison inspired us all with her firm belief that you could do anything if you set your mind to it and she proved it when she graduated with honours in spite of all the physical struggles she had to cope with. She never stopped believing in a better tomorrow filled with love, laughter and fulfillment of her dreams. She was brave, talented, beautiful, funny and determined. She enjoyed dancing, singing at the top of her lungs (when she thought we hadn’t yet walked in the door) yoga, jumping on her trampoline and most of all, spending time with Baily. Madison was an earth angel, given to us for a short time to learn about unconditional love and the power of the heart.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank Dr. Cuvelier, Dr. Wall, Dr. Doyle and Dr. Israels, who worked as team to provide Madison with the top medical interventions, and give her with the best possible quality of life while she battled her illness. We are sincerely grateful for the expertise, love and support of nurses Jenny, Debbie, Shannon, Michelle, Cathy, Sarah, Ginette, Dana, Joanna (her favourite) and many others from CancerCare and CK-5 who became our extended family. Special thanks to Dawn, Child Life Specialist for helping us to cope and stay strong. We are so grateful for all of our CancerCare moms and dads who we have leaned on for support and shared our successes with, throughout the past couple years. We would like to thank the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room staff and volunteers for all their kindness and support and the comfort they afforded us to remain together as a family living in a hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Madison’s name to CancerCare Pediatric Child Life Program.
