Lydia passed away suddenly due to heart failure on November 27. Lydia’s husband Nick of 32 years died in 1996. She is survived by her only son John (Laura), Brothers Karl (Marjorie) David (Lynn) Leonard (Grace) Sisters Trudy and Emma (Joe).
Lydia was born in Ochre River and moved to Winnipeg at a young age, working at Hospice Tache. Lydia and Nick moved to West Kildonan in the early 70s into a wonderful neighborhood that was like a second family. She was a great friend to everybody, always willing to listen or help in any way she could.
A graveside service will be held at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main Street on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00pm.
