<div itemprop="description">EVA MAE DOWNEY <br> <br>Peacefully in the early hours of Dec. 3, 2016 at Middlechurch Home, Eva passed away. <br> <br>Her family and friends are deeply saddened but are comforted that she is in a better place and reunited with her husband Ron. <br>She was born Feb. 14, 1929 to Louis & Anne Mabb in Fisher Branch, Mb. where she grew up with her 3 sisters on the family farm. <br> <br>She married Ron Aug. 23, 1952 and were very happily married for almost 64 years. Family was most important to mom and her 3 daughters: Leanne (Darren), Sherri (Victor) & Lisa (Donovan) were her source of pride & joy. She loved our shopping trips and treating us to lunch. <br>Her heart overflowed with love for her 6 grandchildren: Brad (Paula), Bryan (Celine), Eric, Brittany (Daniel), Kelly (Ryan) and Brayden. And adored her 3 great grandchildren: Maria, Julian & Brooklyn. They all treasure their dear memories with Gramma. <br> <br>Gardening was her passion and she could grow anything. Her garden at their home in Windsor Park was filled with amazing color and variety of flowers. Her other talents were knitting & crocheting and loved making things for others. <br> <br>Her small but homey little kitchen saw many, many guests who knew they were always welcome to drop by at any time. <br> <br>A celebration of her wonderful life will be Friday, Dec. 16 at 2pm at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
