<div itemprop="description">Ermgard Edith Fritzler <br />November 21, 1922 &ndash; December 09, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br />After a brief illness at Concordia Hospital on December 9th, 2015, Erma passed away at age 93. <br /> <br />Predeceased by her siblings Louise, Trudy and Hank, daughter Linda, husband Edward, and son Wayne. <br />Erma leaves to cherish her memory; son Mark, daughter-in-law Jeanette and grandson Adam. Also her brother-in-law Bob Frazer (Wilma) and many close friends and relatives. <br /> <br />Erma was born in Plangenau, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1928 with her parents Olga and Henry Roloff settling near Morse, Saskatchewan. <br />There she met her future husband Edward Fritzler. <br /> <br />During WW2, Erma moved to Vancouver and worked as a &ldquo;Rosie the Riveter&rdquo; in the Boeing aircraft factory. <br />She married in 1943 and settled in Winnipeg, raising her family at their 135 Linden Ave home. <br /> <br />Later in life she was determined to learn to swim, ride a bike, earn her drivers license and play the organ, all of which she accomplished before turning fifty. Erma also enjoying travelling and her part time job at Eatons as a salesperson in the ladies shoe department. <br /> <br />Erma will be remembered for her warm personality and wonderful energy, maintaining a positive attitude in the face of many of life&rsquo;s challenges. She was often heard saying &ldquo;I can&rsquo;t change the past, so I remember all the good times, not the bad.&rdquo; <br /> <br />Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Internment and reception at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Special thanks to the staff of Kildonan House and especially Concordia Hospital N1 South Ward. <br /></div>
