ANDREA SINGBEIL
DRUCILLA ANDREA SINGBEIL (nee Burns), July 1, 1929 - October 23, 2016. It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Andrea Singbeil peacefully at Bethania Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in her 87th year after a full and loving life. Andrea is survived by George Singbeil, her dear husband of 63 years, her beloved daughters Druanne Naayen (Les Klusoczky) and Brenda McCartin (Allan), grand-daughter Kristin Naayen, by her cherished second family of grand-children Randi Wilson (Ryan, great grand-children Jaxx and Alexxis), Rikki Klusoczky and Reggi Klusoczky, and her brother Barrie Burns (Barbara Shuh) of Kanata, Ontario. Many nieces, nephews, and other relations, neighbours and friends join in mourning her passing. She was pre-deceased by her mother and father Drucilla and Bert Burns. Andrea was born, grew up, married and raised her children in Winnipeg. She was the favourite person of the many people she knew in her life. Her down-to-earth openness and willingness to listen made her immediate connections with everyone who came in contact with her. Her life-long love of Cairn Terriers and her skills and affection in all aspects of their breeding and care, made her a host of lifelong friends, both human and canine. Before her marriage she worked at Investors Syndicate in Winnipeg and thereafter devoted herself to her family and her cherished pets. Andrea had a wonderful sense of humour, enjoyed many happy summer holidays at the family cottage at Victoria Beach and delighted in gardening, oil painting and many other crafts. She also enjoyed music in its many forms, singing in choirs, attending symphony, chamber and choral concerts. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethania and the health care team at Concordia Hospital for their compassion and care during her last months. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrea’s memory can be made to either The Arthritis Society of Manitoba, or Alzheimer Society Manitoba. A celebration of her life and interment will be held on Tuesday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Phone: 204-338-7111.
