<div itemprop="description">Anne Schapansky (nee Janzen) <br> <br>On July 2, 2016 Anne died peacefully at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, at the age of 99. <br> <br>Anne was born in Hepburn, SK on March 4, 1917. She was the third of 9 children, and a twin. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her parents John and Helena (Unrau) Janzen, husband John, daughter Adena Anderson, granddaughter Emma Zenert, grandson-in-law Barry Reiss, brothers Dick and Jack, and sisters Margaret Funk, Helen Lee, Tina, and her twin Helena. <br> <br>She is survived by her son Gerald (Ann), daughter Diana Holaday (Dale), brother Jake, sister Agnes Tuckwell, grandchildren Wendy (Greg Couisineau), Dean (Cheryl), Sheryl, Chris (Amanda), Lisa, Sarah Hall (Mike), Laura, and Garth (Alisha),12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, son in-law Jim. <br> <br>Anne was a devout Christian and member of the United Church of Canada. She loved cooking meals and baking, and was well known for her homemade buns, baking powder biscuits, chicken soup, and cookies. She was very involved in church activities, volunteering, sewing circle, and liquid embroidery. The main love of her life was spending time with her family and friends. She made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for all her grandchildren, and numerous other crafts and dolls over the years. She loved gardening and had a true green thumb. She had fun curling, bowling, and watching her Bombers; and she liked spending time at the lake and travelling. <br> <br>A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at 2pm on July 23rd at Glen Eden Funeral Home (4477 Main Street, West St. Paul).
